The Committee reviewed Resolution No. 25-20, a routine annual request that asks Medina County to advance monies the county is holding on the city’s behalf under Section 321.34 of the Ohio Revised Code.
Service Director Matt Hiscock explained the item as an administrative process by which the city requests advances on funds that are due and payable to Wadsworth but held by the county as the receipt agency. Hiscock noted Auditor Fix had asked that the Council suspend and call the item so payments could be captured promptly; President Dan Rospert asked Council Member Zach Berger to sponsor the resolution and Berger agreed to suspend and call it for processing.
The committee recorded the assignment and the action to move the resolution to third reading and to process the advance payment per the auditor’s request; final Council adoption will meet standard legislative procedures.
