Wadsworth City Council on Jan. 20 adopted Ordinance No. 26-025, authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise, solicit proposals, select and negotiate a Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) to perform construction management services for the Downtown Improvement Project. The motion to suspend the three-reading rule and adopt the ordinance was moved by Council Member Chris Maxwell and carried unanimously by roll call.
Council did not record contract amounts or a selection timetable in the meeting transcript; adoption authorizes the city to begin the CMAR selection process and subsequent negotiation with the chosen contractor.
