Wadsworth Council elects clerks and leadership for 2026–27 term
Summary
At its Jan. 6 meeting, Wadsworth City Council unanimously elected Julie Darlington as Clerk of Council and Rachel Wallace as Deputy Clerk of Council, approved committee and commission assignments, and nominated Tom Stugmyer as President Pro Tem and Jon Yurchiak as Vice Pro Tem.
At the Jan. 6 Wadsworth City Council meeting, members unanimously elected Julie Darlington as Clerk of Council for the 2026–2027 term and Rachel Wallace as Deputy Clerk of Council. Council then approved committee and commission assignments for the new term by unanimous vote.
President Rospert opened the floor for leadership nominations. Tom Stugmyer was nominated and elected President Pro Tem, and Jon Yurchiak was nominated and approved as Vice President Pro Tem, both by all‑in‑favor votes. Council described the actions as routine organizational steps marking the start of the new term; President Rospert observed, “What a way to start our first meeting.”
