Wadsworth City Council and the Wadsworth Township Trustees met jointly on Jan. 20 and unanimously elected Council Member Chris Maxwell to a three-year term on the Woodlawn Union Cemetery Board expiring Dec. 31, 2028. Council Member Jon Yurchiak moved the appointment and Council Member Angela May seconded; the roll call vote recorded ayes from Berger, Hines, Maxwell, May, Reese, Stugmyer, Yurchiak, Engler and Ciper.
President of Council Dan Rospert closed the joint session after the vote and thanked the trustees for participating. The appointment was handled during a short joint meeting that began at approximately 6:55 p.m.; there were no public objections recorded in the transcript.
