Council approves amendment to March 17 minutes after member disputes wording

During approval of the March 17, 2026 legislative meeting minutes, Council Member Bob Boehner asked that two sentences be added that he said reflected his remarks from that earlier meeting. Clerk of Council Carla Bronner responded that the minutes already contained a verbatim account based on the meeting recording and clarified what she had added.
Boehner said, "Well, that's what I said first, before I said anything." President Kevin Mattscheck replied, "Well, it's not an exact word for word." After discussion, Boehner made a motion to amend the minutes, seconded by Mr. Thamann, and the motion carried by voice vote. The council then approved the April 7, 2026 regular meeting minutes by voice vote as well.
