Resident raises objections to Memorial Day parade float imagery and flag display

Wilson clarified that her critique was not directed at veterans or religion generally and asked the American Legion to engage with community concerns going forward. Council members encouraged direct communication with the parade committee; Mr. Boehner said he would contact committee members and Mayor Bemmes urged the resident to become involved with the American Legion.
