Contee estimated that construction could move quickly once procurement and due diligence finish; he said an initial opening timeline from construction start is roughly six months. The presentation included examples of material and form, notes on site constraints (utilities, parking, access) and an emphasis on coordinating with county departments and the contractor to keep the design fiscally realistic. "By the time it's all the way completed, this really is gonna be a statement piece and a very, very central part of the tourism fabric representing all of King County," Contee said.
