Chief Communications Officer Lehi (Leslie) Raine Stanton told the board the district intends to standardize two‑way communications and promote Let's Talk as the official portal for campus and district inquiries. Stanton said the platform will be used to document input, route communications to the appropriate staff and support transparency for Board‑directed communications.
Stanton described a three‑step approach that encourages parents first to contact teachers, then campus administration and, if unresolved, to escalate via Let's Talk. "Let's Talk is now Plano ISD's Board‑adopted or we want it to become the official communication portal," she said, and added that staff are expected to monitor and respond within 24–48 hours. Trustees asked whether existing classroom apps (for example, ClassDojo or Remind) would be replaced; Stanton said Seesaw will remain the districtwide elementary two‑way tool while some individually purchased apps may continue at the campus level.
Board members asked how trustees will access submissions; administration said training and dashboard access for trustees will be provided ahead of launch and that the portal must be fully in place by the statutory deadline (reported by staff as Sept. 1).
