Plano ISD says summer programs drew more than 5,000 students and 6,200 course enrollments

District staff told trustees that summer learning served more than 5,000 students across 12 campuses with 6,200 course enrollments, doubled eSchool participation and new enrichment offerings in robotics and culinary arts.
Stacey Singleton, Plano ISD’s director of expanded learning pathways, told trustees the district recorded “over 6,200 course enrollments across 13 different programs” during the 2025 summer session and served “over 5,000 individual students across 12 campuses.” Singleton said more than 500 staff supported the programs and high‑school students earned more than 2,000 credits through credit recovery, ESL and eSchool.
Singleton highlighted several new or expanded offerings, including elementary and middle‑school robotics, a Storybook Chef program and Chef’s Academy. He said eSchool enrollments have roughly doubled over the last three weeks of the summer session and that the district is near capacity at some campus sites. "This summer wasn't just about filling time," Singleton said. "It was about fueling growth." Trustees asked staff to follow up with data on multilingual denial rates and longer‑term program evaluation measuring outcomes during the regular school year.
Trustees praised the program expansion and the administration said the team will return data on participation denominators and program evaluation plans for a future board update.
