Crestview council approves continuing services contract process for 24 engineering firms

The Crestview City Council approved action item 10.1 to establish continuing services contracts for engineering services after staff said 24 firms were selected through the city's bid process. "The benefit to the city doing that is that we're able to act more expeditiously so when we have a task come up that we need to engage an engineering firm in we're able to act quicker," City Manager Levins said.
Levins said the selected firms cover a range of specialties — roads, building design and grant-related work — and that individual contracts will be negotiated with each firm when specific tasks arise. Councilwoman Lisonbee moved the measure, Councilman Frost seconded and the council approved it 5–0.
