The Crestview City Council heard a VFW presentation honoring Investigator Corey Rawls for his work on a drug task force that led to five simultaneous warrants in the city. "He was the lead investigator over a long term drug investigation that led to five simultaneous warrants right here in the city of Crestview," Chief McCosker said during the presentation.
Commander John E. Hamilton and Barbara Beetle presented certificates of appreciation for law-enforcement service and civic contribution. The council and audience applauded the recognitions; Brady Matthews also received a certificate acknowledging "alertness, personal courage, and the ever efficient guardianship of life and property," according to the VFW reading of the certificate. "Thank you," David Forte (BDI) later told council in a separate public comment acknowledging city staff support for contracts and partnerships.
