The FRENSHIP ISD Board of Trustees opened its meeting with a recognition program marking January as School Board Appreciation Month, featuring a student video and onstage presentations by principals and volunteers.
A presenter introduced the segment and said the Texas Association of School Boards theme this year is “Our future is public.” Multiple students described activities they participate in — student council, robotics, choir, athletics, GT and National Junior Honor Society — and thanked the board for opportunities. “Thank you for investing in my education,” said one student who introduced themself to the board as Dr. Collin (speaker 5). Principals presented framed student artwork and small gifts to each trustee, and the principals and volunteers expressed appreciation for the board’s leadership.
District organizers invited families and students to remain for the meeting and encouraged trustees to display the certificates recognizing their service. The recognition concluded with photos and brief remarks from campus leaders.
