Klickitat County commissioners unanimously approved returning three pavement-marking bids to Public Works for review and recommended award after staff evaluation, and they approved a $2,392,756 contract for the Sunnyside Road overlay. Commissioner Lori Zoller moved to accept the procedural actions and Commissioner Todd Andrews seconded; the motions passed unanimously.
Public Works Director Jeff Hunter presented the construction program and project priorities, noting a recommendation to purchase used precast concrete barriers for the Old Highway 8 slide repair at a cost of $26,337.50 and a County Force estimate of $275,000 for Centerville Town Roads overlay work. The board also initiated county road projects with assigned numbers CRP 383 (Centerville Town Roads), CRP 384 (Beyerlin Bridge) and CRP 385 (Cove Road).
