Klickitat County approves 20‑item consent agenda including appointments and tourism contracts

The Klickitat County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved a 20‑item consent agenda at its Jan. 14, 2025 meeting that included a slate of appointments, contract agreements and funding awards to support local economic development and tourism.

Resolutions on the consent agenda included multiple commissioner appointments and board designations (Res. Nos. 00525–01325), reappointments to the Planning Commission, and the formalization of advisory committees for 2025. The Board also approved lodging‑tax distributions of $53,000 to the Greater Goldendale Chamber of Commerce, $71,595 to the Mt. Adams Chamber of Commerce, $3,900 to the Alder Creek Rodeo Association, $4,000 to the Klickitat County Fair Board and $1,000 to the Klickitat County Economic Development Department, for a total of $133,495.

Several independent contractor agreements were approved to promote local tourism and economic support services, including agreements with the Goldendale Area Chamber of Commerce (not‑to‑exceed $53,000) and the Mt. Adams Chamber of Commerce (not‑to‑exceed $71,595). The Board also approved economic development support services agreements with chambers to provide entrepreneur and business retention assistance for calendar year 2025.

The consent agenda contained staff‑recommended appointments to the Klickitat County Affordable Housing Advisory Committee and the Public Economic Development Authority Board of Directors, and formalized the composition and effective dates of multiple advisory bodies. The motions to adopt the consent agenda passed unanimously (M/Zoller, S/Andrews).
