The Knox County Board authorized a 2026 continuation-of-service agreement with Foth Infrastructure and Environmental, LLC for landfill operations at a contract price of $494,350. Member Robert Bondi presented the bid information in the packet and moved approval; the board carried the motion by unanimous roll call.
When asked whether other bids were received, Landfill Administrator Rod Cleair said "it is professional services so we do not have to" accept competitive bids, and Chair Hawkinson confirmed that legal procurement requirements applied. The board approved the contract as presented.
