Chair Jared Hawkinson said the county currently authorizes 33 machines and has received $82,658.44 in revenue from those machines year-to-date. He contrasted the county’s receipts with the City of Galesburg’s larger gaming income ("almost $500,000 almost $600,000 year to date") and noted the $200 fee would yield the budgeted $6,600 in county licensing revenue. Hawkinson also said the county checked with the Illinois Gaming Commission about allowable maximums for non-home-rule areas.
