CRA receives DART grant; staff sought youth input and will begin implementing recommendations

Staff told the board that the city received a grant for a Downtown Activation Roadmap Tactic (DART) in 2025 to produce a data-driven plan for downtown vibrancy.
The City Manager said the plan uses demographic and market data and that staff sought input from the chamber, community leaders and Crestview High School students to gather youth perspectives. Staff also said the CRA has started implementing some recommendations already, including a downtown grant program and increased funding for downtown programming.
Board members endorsed the approach and staff said the plan will guide future CRA efforts to encourage denser, walkable downtown activity and attract new businesses.
