CRA highlights Food Truck Fridays, Mardi Gras and Christmas Village; reports vendor and sponsor counts

City staff presented an annual CRA report that emphasized downtown event growth, including three events introduced last year: Food Truck Fridays, a Mardi Gras event and a Christmas Village.
The City Manager said Food Truck Friday “has been super popular” and reported vendor and sponsorship numbers: 16 sponsors for the Christmas Village building facades; an average of about 77 vendors at Food Truck Friday events, 20 vendors at market events and 55 vendors across other city events. Staff said peak vendor participation for Food Truck Fridays ran roughly April–July, and that partnerships with local schools and the Main Street Association helped expand programming.
Board members praised Main Street’s work and said visiting Main Street directors complimented Crestview’s downtown improvements. Staff said they will continue to promote the CRA to developers and businesses as the district grows.
