Library Director Lori Romero presented Preschool Exploration Essentials Kits that the library received through a Department of Education grant designed to promote early literacy for children up to age 5. Romero said the kits are distributed to parents with children up to age five and that parents are asked to fill out a form in exchange for a kit.
Romero also handed out a new list of library events scheduled for 2026. Trustees received the events calendar; no policy changes or additional funding were proposed at the meeting related to programming. Romero additionally reported December circulation statistics and provided information on children registered in the Dolly Parton Imagination Library.
