Health Department representative Hector Gomez told the Board that Taylor Quiram has been hired to the Environmental Health position. Gomez cited Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) data indicating that 19.1% of Marshall County residents have received vaccinations (as reported to IDPH) and said vaccinations are purchased as needed. He also reported that the back stairs at the Health Department building have been repaired.
Gomez did not present a funding breakdown for vaccination purchases during the meeting; no further motions or budget actions tied specifically to the Health Department presentation were recorded in the Dec. 11 minutes.
