The Marshall County Board approved a multi-item consent agenda that included approval of minutes from Nov. 13, 2025; payment of bills; NCICG dues for 2026 ($1,500); a resolution appointing a commissioner for the Centerville Drainage District (John Murphy until September 2028); designation of bank depositories for the County Treasurer; county clerk six-month and annual reports; cemetery board appointments (Violet Smith and Mary Mooberry to replace Steve Schlosser through June 30, 2029); reappointment of Tony Smith to the ETSB Board through December 2028; 2025 budget amendments; and a Resolution for Maintenance Under the Illinois Highway Code. Chairperson Travis McGlasson removed consent item I for separate discussion; the remainder passed on a single motion (moved by Perona, seconded by Fecht) with "all ayes, 0 nays" recorded in the minutes.
The minutes show some local concern was raised during review of consent items: Commissioner Lueders noted a public notice in the Lacon Home Journal reporting that the First National Bank of Lacon was being sold and said his research indicated the buyer is an Indian technology billionaire living in Portugal, which he said should be of public concern. No board action on the bank sale was recorded. The approved consent items carry the resolution numbers #25-88J through #25-88P as listed in the meeting packet.
