Auditor raises courthouse tree replacements and contract collections; request made to add Civil Deputy position

Auditor Chandra Schumacher met with the Board to discuss replacement of trees felled on the courthouse campus and said a contract with Dynamic Collections is being drafted to address a recent rise in stop payments and NSF checks for recording fees. The Auditor’s office plans to present the draft contract for Board review.
Schumacher also asked the Commissioners to consider hiring a Civil Deputy for the Prosecutor’s Office to assist with Labor and Industries, FMLA and PFML coordination and to serve as a liaison between benefits and payroll. The Board requested a formal job description and a request be presented for consideration.
