Marshall County board approves consent agenda, reappointments and special-use for wind testing

Balensiefen moved to approve the minutes, Schmitt seconded, and the vote was recorded as all ayes. The board then approved the consent agenda (items #26-16A through #26-16E) on a motion by Meierkord, seconded by Durham, with all members voting in favor.
The consent agenda included an amendment to the predictable fee schedule for recording documents in Marshall County (#24-118) and reappointments: Ernie Robinson to the Toluca Surface Water Protection District (three-year term), Brad Lindstrom to the Marshall County Health Department Board (one-year term), Mary Sheets to the Lacon Cemetery Board (six-year term), and Mike Stumbaugh, Michael Flahaven and Kent McKee to the Marshall County Airport Board (three-year terms). The board recorded those approvals as part of motion #26-16A–E.
On a separate zoning item, Ryan Giacometti introduced Lael Eason of Scout Clean Energy, representing Prairie Violet Wind, which proposed placing three meteorological (MET) towers on parcels owned by Alan McCully, Steve Sauder and Randy Noll to gather wind data for a potential wind facility. Lindstrom moved to approve Special Use 26-285; McLaughlin seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The board did not record any conditions beyond the resolution during the meeting.
