Bond County approves labor agreement with Illinois FOP Labor Council

The Board reviewed a final labor agreement between the Illinois FOP Labor Council and Bond County and approved it on Nov. 6. Boardmember Jeff Rehkemper said sick leave provisions had been adjusted and reported that Sheriff Jim Leitschuh and Deputy Josh Hill had both reviewed and agreed to the final copy.
On that basis Jeff Rehkemper recommended approval; the Board adopted the agreement on a 5-0 roll call vote (motion by Jeff Rehkemper, second by Chris Timmermann). The approval completes the county's process to ratify the labor terms with the local law enforcement bargaining unit.
