Bond County approves highway resolutions, schedules public meeting on Red Ball Trail bridge

The Bond County Board approved County Highway Resolution 11-06-24-01, an improvement under the Illinois Highway Code for Panama Avenue, and County Highway Resolution 11-06-24-02, a county agreement of understanding for maintenance. Both motions passed on 5-0 roll call votes following a presentation of Highway Engineer Mike McCormick's October report.
McCormick also reminded the Board that a public informational meeting on the Red Ball Trail wooden bridge over the BNSF Railroad is scheduled for November 19, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. The resolutions and the scheduled public meeting are steps in the county's process for highway improvements and community outreach on the bridge project.
