At its Jan. 28 meeting the Knox County Board approved a series of routine items including the consent agenda (minutes and tax receipts for October 2025), the appointment of Geoffrey W. Hurd as trustee of Williamsfield Fire Protection District, deed conveyance returning property to the tax roll, and abatement resolutions for General Obligation Alternate Revenue Bonds (Series 2010A/2010B and 2022).
The board also approved routine payment of an IEPA landfill quarterly tonnage invoice for $41,452.08 and authorized a 'bid and bring back' for a new scale house roof at the landfill. Per-diem and mileage claims totaled $3,137.80. Finally, the board approved claims/vouchers for Dec. 23, 2025 through Jan. 28, 2026 in the aggregate amount of $2,420,753.05. Most votes on these routine items were unanimous (13-0) as recorded in the roll calls.
