County officials weigh moving magnetometer to courthouse entry to expand screening

She said, "Space is a big problem." Staff emphasized that a first-floor magnetometer would create a single point of entry and consistent screening, but that logistical constraints (door locations and staffing) must be resolved before a change.
No policy change was adopted at the meeting. Staff recommended further review of building circulation patterns and the operational impact on public access and courthouse workflows before any relocation of the magnetometer is implemented.
