Commission reappoints local PSD and library trustees, fills PSD vacancy

The Randolph County Commission approved multiple board appointments and reappointments during its May 14 meeting. Commissioner Kesling said the county received a reappointment request for Barbara Zickefoose and the commission reappointed her to the Leadsville Public Service District (PSD) Board with a term from July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2032. The commission also approved the Norton-Harding-Jimtown PSD request to appoint Curtis R. Elmore to fill the unexpired term of Gary Currence, with the term running May 14 through June 30, 2026.
Separately, the Helvetia Public Library Board of Trustees requested updates after a director turnover; the commission approved multiple reappointments, including a retroactive reappointment for Betty Biggs (terms effective July 1, 2018–June 30, 2023 and reappointed July 1, 2023–June 30, 2028) and new terms for Heldi Arnett, Christine Long and Donna Knotts. All appointments and reappointments were approved unanimously.
