Owen Peet said Hooked on Fishing Not on Drugs (HOFNOD) served more than 900 children last year and requested $5,000; the Commission approved that request, with Kesling noting the Commission’s ongoing support for the event. Dennis Defibaugh requested $2,500 for the Town of Mill Creek Mother's Day weekend celebration; the Commission approved that amount from the same fund.
Commissioners processed those motions individually and each passed unanimously. The funding approvals were described as community-support expenditures out of the Hotel/Motel Tax balance rather than the general fund.
