Cumberland County schools report full accreditation, push for preventative maintenance and staff retention

Looking ahead to the budget, Doctor Schwartz said the division will emphasize a preventative maintenance plan to avoid future costly repairs, include funding for two school buses to address transportation issues that have disrupted instruction, and prioritize staff retention after the division did not receive the same pay increases given by neighboring divisions. He also noted a community budget-input survey accessible via QR code and said the first joint work session with the school board is scheduled for Jan. 22.
