Acting director: staff to conduct roughly 150 park inspections; board discusses hiring and budget move

Acting Executive Director and Senior Manufactured Housing Inspector Ryan Chandler told the Manufactured Housing Professionals, Board of Licensure at its April 8 meeting that staff will conduct roughly 150 park inspections this year and that inspections will start soon. Chandler said staff are working to close outstanding complaints and reported an increase in calls from park owners about rent increases.
Board Chair Theresa Desfosses and members discussed whether to hire another inspector to handle the workload. The minutes note the supplemental budget has passed; Chandler said that once the supplemental budget is signed by the Governor, June will be the last board meeting at the current location as the office moves to MOCA. The board did not record a final hiring decision during this meeting.
