Board accepts Administrative Law Judge findings in multiple matters, dismisses one application

During the March 26, 2026 meeting the State Board of Education considered recommendations from an Administrative Law Judge and voted to accept the proposed Findings of Fact and Conclusions of Law in several matters. Board Member Becky Carson moved to accept the ALJ's recommendations for agenda items A1, A2, A3, A4 and A5; Board Member Wes Nofire seconded and the motion carried by unanimous recorded vote.
Separately, in the matter identified as agenda item A6 the board accepted the ALJ's recommendation to dismiss the application involving the State Department of Education; Board Member Brian Bobek moved to accept that recommendation and Board Member Ryan Deatherage seconded. The motion carried with unanimous votes. The minutes cite OAC 210:1-5-6(g)(2) as the governing procedure for the board's consideration of the ALJ recommendations.
