Council extends CRA abatement for Uncle John's Plant Farm per county review

On Sept. 9 Olmsted Falls City Council adopted Resolution 45-2025 accepting the Tax Incentive Review Councils recommendation to extend a Community Reinvestment Area (CRA) property-tax abatement for Uncle Johns Plant Farm. Finance Director Tom Reynolds said Uncle Johns remains the only business with a CRA agreement in the city and that the company has exceeded required full-time job and payroll thresholds tied to the abatement, which Reynolds estimated at roughly $3,500 per year.
Council suspended the reading, waived the reading in full and then adopted the resolution by voice vote and poll (5 ayes, 0 nays). Councilman Scott Saari and the administration thanked members who serve on the county board reviewing the agreement.
