Council introduced Ordinance 49-2025 on Sept. 9 authorizing the mayor to enter into an agreement with the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District (NEORSD) for billing and collection of local sanitary sewer charges. Finance Director Tom Reynolds told council the ordinance is intended to memorialize current practice and policies between the city and NEORSD and does not raise or change rates.
Reynolds said this ordinance can proceed through three readings and stems from NEORSDs request to have policies and procedures memorialized in writing. Council did not oppose the introductory motion; the item was presented for further consideration.
