City staff reported that propane usage at the Small Town Beauty building was higher than expected after staff learned the upstairs heat had been turned on to prevent pipes from freezing. Andy Vineyard said the upstairs heat use explained the increased consumption and the city discussed whether to pay part of the bill for the building where the business rents the lower floor.
Commissioner Shane Rogers moved and Commissioner Margaret Maze seconded a motion to pay half of the propane bill for the Beauty Shop building; the motion passed. The transcript does not include the dollar amount of the bill or which department will record the expense.
