City Manager John Westfall told the commission the municipal pool is being prepared for opening and will be painted over the following two weeks. The city is preparing to interview lifeguards and admissions staff for the upcoming season.
During the financial portion of the meeting Auditor Shelly Clonch presented an invoice for $30,971.88 from Ohio Valley Bank for a pool repair loan payment (Inv: 3/16/26; PO: 3/25/26). Dennis L. Kirby moved to approve the payments, Dr. William "Bill" Thomas seconded, and the motion passed on a voice vote with all yes votes.
No details about the loan term or remaining balance were provided at the meeting; staff recorded the payment approval as part of routine financial business.
