David City adopts Annual Appropriation Bill for fiscal 2025–26

Before final adoption the council suspended the statutory rule requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate days (motion by Keith Marvin; second by Bruce Meysenburg). On a subsequent motion to pass and adopt Ordinance No. 1519 on third and final reading (mover: Keith Marvin; seconder: Jim Angell), the motion carried with five affirmative votes, zero nays and one absence (Jeremy Abel). The ordinance provides that, after complying with required procedures, the budget as presented is approved and that copies of completed State of Nebraska budget forms will be forwarded as required by law.
The ordinance text cites Nebraska Revised Statute 17-706 as the statutory basis for adopting the Annual Appropriation Bill and specifies that the ordinance shall be published in pamphlet form and take effect after passage and publication or posting.
