At the Commission’s June 25 meeting, Chief Strategic Officer Molly Delaney reported that Nebraska Public Media’s membership revenue surpassed $8 million in May and stood at $8,656,000 as of June 11—more than $3 million above the organization’s annual goal. Delaney said membership households totaled more than 35,500, an 18% increase from the prior year.
Delaney told commissioners that canvassing was expected to be the leading source of new member acquisition for the year and highlighted a marked increase in sustaining memberships: 24.7% in CY24, 25.9% in CY25, and 34.9% so far in CY26. She also noted that the organization sends personalized "In Your District" emails to Nebraska senators every two weeks; those outreach messages generated 15 responses since March.
The membership figures and growth metrics were provided as part of the Commission’s Education and Engagement update and reflect internal performance indicators rather than an external audit.
