ADR endorses 30‑foot pool option at 3 Allen Lane; redwood preservation cited as a key finding

Board members debated rotating the pool footprint versus shortening the pool length. Several ADR members said rotating the pool risked harming redwoods or producing awkward circulation; others suggested reducing the pool to 30 feet so the coping would sit roughly 4'7" from the most constrained property line. The ADR coalesced behind a recommendation to pursue the 30‑foot option and to document findings centered on preserving the redwoods and limiting grading and retaining‑wall impacts. The ADR asked staff to include landscape buffering measures and clearer drawings showing coping versus waterline setbacks.
