Tom Gaffney presented the Ross Historic Walk plaque proposal to the Ross Advisory Design Review (ADR) Group. ADR members said they “praised the concept” while raising technical design concerns about plaque visibility, QR code size and color contrast, and recommended testing and refinements prior to advancing the project to the Town Council.
The ADR recommended enlarging plaques slightly to improve readability, testing smaller QR codes for scanning reliability, and selecting materials or mounting methods to deter theft. The group supported the project’s intent and encouraged the applicant to return with adjusted mockups and material samples for staff review before the Council packet is prepared.
