King County Councilmember Rhonda Lewis outlines District 2 priorities to commission

Lewis said she is "actively holding a listening tour across District 2 by meeting with community leaders, elected officials, and county partners" and plans engagement opportunities across incorporated and unincorporated areas to address housing affordability, food security and services in historically underserved communities such as Skyway. She highlighted existing projects including the Youth Achievement Center in the Columbia area and the Skyway Community Center, and described working with the Law and Justice Committee — which she chairs — on public safety and justice initiatives.
Lewis framed the approach as community-driven, saying the council will "work to leverage every available resource to improve the quality of life" for residents and emphasized increasing civic participation and access to county services as part of district priorities.
