The Saint Clair Board of Education accepted multiple donations and handled several routine business items on May 18, 2026.
Donations recorded in the minutes included $9,459.47 from Athletic Backers (to support a MacBook, the drama activity account, a golf launch monitor, state wrestling shirts, weight-room equipment, a media subscription and track & field supplies), $2,000 from the St. Clair American Legion for a track fundraiser, $100 from Medo Township to Community Ed, and toy/prize donations from Marilyn Sweet and Anna Young. Vice Chair Connie Johns recognized the resolution; the board accepted the donations and directed administration to acknowledge the contributors.
The board also accepted the resignation of Joe Stauffer and approved appointments for Brooklyn Froman, Christopher Magner, Jack Mellstrom, Paige Plaetz, Mitchel Pomije, Luke Swiechowski and Stacy Ullom. The district approved a Dufault Publishing contract for the 2026–2027 elementary and high school yearbooks, appointed Board members Sara Quast and Karen Hauser to participate in the 2026 high school graduation ceremony, and set a summer board retreat for June 15, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. in the West Commons. Each motion carried with all in favor as recorded in the minutes.
