St. Clair board sets general election for Nov. 3, 2026 to fill three seats

The Saint Clair Board of Education voted unanimously June 22 to call its general election for Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026, to elect three school board members to four-year terms. Member Mick Rasmussen introduced the resolution, which the board adopted after formal motion and second.
The resolution instructs the election clerk to include on the ballot the names of individuals who file affidavits of candidacy, to publish and post notices and sample ballots as required, and to coordinate with county election officials. It specifically cites Minnesota Statutes, Section 205A.11 regarding precincts and polling places and sets voting hours to match the state general election.
Board members voted in favor of the resolution with no votes recorded against it. The motion directs the clerk to provide written notice to county auditors at least 74 days before the election and to post sample ballots at the administrative offices in advance. The board will canvass the election between the third and tenth day following the vote.
