Cleveland County commissioners approved appointments Sept. 16 to the Foothills Workforce Development Board and Juvenile Crime Prevention Council. Courtney Ashley was appointed and several members were reappointed to three-year terms on the workforce board through June 30, 2028. Heather Willis was appointed and two members were reappointed to the Juvenile Crime Prevention Council through June 30, 2027.
During public comment, Steve Padgett, the Small Business Center Director, announced his retirement and thanked the commissioners for their support and for accomplishments achieved by the center. Commissioners approved the appointments unanimously and extended appreciation to staff and board members.
