Board reminded to file county ethics pledge and complete OPMA training by end of January

Library staff reminded board members about county ethics and training requirements at the Jan. 8 meeting. Carrie Valdes said Grand County Ordinance No. 593 requires employees, elected officials, and volunteers to sign the county ethics pledge and disclose conflicts of interest at the start of each year; county officials have made online forms available this year.
Valdes also reminded the board that state Open and Public Meetings Act (OPMA) training must be completed annually and that members should provide certificates of completion by the end of January.
