Andrea Brand, director of the Sand Flats Recreation Area, told the Stewardship Committee that SFRA’s internal remit sheet shows 2025 year‑end revenue of $805,644 while the Grand County clerk’s office lists $817,787, a difference of $12,143 that she asked staff to research. "The clerk’s office is showing $817,787. More is shown because of the sale of SFRA plant books under expense reimbursement," Brand said, noting differences in how Rec.gov and clerk receipts are recorded.
Brand also outlined early 2026 financials, reporting SFRA is up about 4% over last year through February and that combined cash carryover from 2025 stands at $615,154. She said Rec.gov totals differ on internal reports ($62,820 on SFRA records versus $69,560 on the clerk’s reports) and that $1,900 will need follow-up to determine the source of the variance. The committee asked staff to reconcile those line items before the next meeting.
