Parkin elected board chair; Erickson named vice chair; Meghan Flynn re-appointed secretary

The Grand County Public Library Board elected Brian Parkin as chair at its Jan. 8, 2026, meeting. Anne Clare Erickson moved to nominate Parkin for chair; Michele Widera seconded and the nomination passed unanimously with the four members present voting yes.
In a subsequent motion, Parkin moved to nominate Erickson for vice chair. Michele Widera seconded, and that motion also passed unanimously. Parkin then moved to re-appoint Meghan “Meg” Flynn to the secretary position; Michele Widera seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The board recorded no dissent. Brian Parkin reported there may be a student interested in the currently vacant High School Representative seat. The board adjourned at 6:07 p.m.
