Council approves $1.05 million Mapleway drainage improvement requisition

Council voted to approve a requisition to Fabrizi Trucking and Paving Company for the Mapleway Drainage Improvement project, not to exceed $1,048,602.25. Service Director Joe Borczuch told council there was only one bid on the Pineway/Bagley/Mapleway project and that the bid fell within state procurement regulations (less than 20% overage). "The cost of the project is $1,048,602.25," Borczuch said during his presentation.
The motion to approve the requisition was made by Councilman Brian Chitester and seconded by Councilman Chad Gluss. Council recorded a unanimous vote: 7 ayes, 0 nays, and the motion carried. The approval authorizes the city to move forward with contracting and construction arrangements for the drainage improvement; no amendments or contingencies were recorded in the meeting minutes.
