The Traverse County Board moved into a closed session to discuss strategy for labor negotiations under Minnesota Statute 13D.03 (motion by Commissioner Dwight Nelson, second by Commissioner Chad Metz). The motion to close and the subsequent motion to reopen the meeting (moved by Jerrel Olson, second by Dwight Nelson) were approved unanimously.
During public comment a member thanked the Board for pursuing the Groundwater Monitoring grant. Commissioners provided reports on outside boards and meetings: Commissioner Nelson (Horizon Public Health and PrimeWest), Commissioner Schmidt (canvass, collaborative safety training, gross revenue meeting, social services pre-placement and planning, and zoning), and Commissioner Metz (Wind & Solar workgroup, Soil & Water, and Rainbow Rider). Chair Mark Gail adjourned the meeting at 11:55 a.m.
