Board approves bills, Joint Powers Agreement with Soil & Water, ECPN and Mallard maintenance consensus

The Board reviewed and approved the list of bills and claims presented at the Nov. 19 meeting and authorized a $45 donation to Social Services (motion by Commissioner Dwight Nelson, second by Commissioner Chad Metz; unanimous). The claims listing included multiple vendor payments and a $42,750.00 entry to Counties Providing Technology noted in the minutes.
Also during the same agenda block the Board unanimously approved a Joint Powers Agreement between Traverse County and the Traverse Soil and Water Conservation District and accepted the Administrative Plan (motion by Chad Metz, second by Jerrel Olson). The Board approved the 2025 Equitable Cost-Sharing for Publicly-Owned Nursing Facilities (ECPN) (motion by Jerrel Olson, second by Kayla Schmidt). Separately, the Board discussed satellite TV service at Prairieview Place and reached a consensus that the family should try the Dish app rather than installing Dish equipment on the Prairieview Place building. The Board approved a written agreement specifying that the Mallard remains on county property while the City of Wheaton will pay for maintenance (motion by Dwight Nelson, second by Jerrel Olson; unanimous).
